Age Classes
 
(as of July 1st prior to the start of each season)
 
  • Cradles                           3 to 5 years
  • Pee Wee                         6 & 7 years
  • Bantam                           8 & 9 years
  • Midget                            10 & 11 years
  • Juvenille                         12 & 13 years
  • Junior                             14 & 15 years
  • Intermediate                  16 & 17 years
  • Senior                            18 to 29 years

Required Equipment 
 
  • Helmet, must be complete hard shell with a secure fastening under the chin.
  • Neck Guard, bib style (to protect neck and chest) made of ballistic Kevlar.
  • Knee Pads, volleyball type, should be secure and comfortable in a fixed knee position.
  • Shin Guards, soccer type
  • Skate Bag, large enough to keep all your equipment organized and protected.
  • Towel, to keep your skates dry.

The British Columbia Speed Skating Association (BCSSA), is the umbrella organization or the Mission Racers Speed Skating Club and all the other speed skating clubs in the province of British Columbia.
